Welcome to our blog. We anticipate our first mission post will be made while we are in Salt Lake City. Here is the timeline we are facing as we countdown to our mission:

Friday, June 22--we will be set apart by Elder Dieter Uchtdorf as fulltime missionaries

Saturday, June 23--we will enter the MTC for mission president's training seminar

Thursday, June 28--we fly to Frankfurt to meet with the Central European Area Presidency

Saturday, June 30--arrive in Prague!!!

We will be updating this blog regularly, so be sure to check back often!

My mom just gave me your link. I think a blog is a fantastic way to keep in touch while on your mission/calling/assignment! We are very excited for you and anxious to read about your adventures in Prague.

Oh...I miss you too much aleady, lol. Now I am missing Lauren, Mark and Kathy all over again! You all look so great! You can see the happiness and excitement all over your faces. I am so happy for you and I know that the Church is going to grow like crazy with Team Slovacek on the job!

Hey Matt! (from yet another matchmaker) A bad joke from Br Scharp...Heavenly Father doesn't pay in cash, but maybe he will reward Matt with a Czech! (booo - told you it was bad).

Take care,
Love ya,
Moo

We miss you guys....is that pool table still around? I finally cleaned my garage out! Never mind, I was just told I don't need a pool table; I have a pool and a table already. How about the B'mer? I just got slapped.

Look forward to hearing about your mission. Take care,

love

I love this blog thing. Having a blog of the mission is a great idea. Everyone will be able to see how things are going on the mission and how you guys are doing. You can also use your blog as a journal slash scrapbook of your 3 year mission. I need to get my parents into blogging. When Kira told me you guys were called on a mission I was so excited for you. You guys will be great mission Presidents. The Lord will bless you and your children while you are out serving the Lord. I feel like I have been significantly blessed since my parents have been out. I will put you on my Links so I can check up on you once in awhile.
Love,
Jamie

Hey Slovaceks!
I'm so sorry I didn't get to say goodbye in person. I am concerned that you may get to Prague and determine that you need your Czech crystal back. You should know that I have no intentions of relenquishing it. It is now mine; but I will never forget my favorite family that passed it down to me!
Love,
Your Burden

We thought we would write this blog in your new language...thekhj zqyer qqqwatr vxewqr pfsexqr (lol). Glad to hear things are going well. Your new walking path looks beautiful from the picture, It's no Nature's Way, but it will have to do. Has Marv found any golfballs? This blog thing is great. It's fun to see what you're up to. We love you guys.
